Ed & Taosha Nowek
Founder Ed Nowek and his wife Taosha have combined their wealth of experience to share the products and message of Planet Bee with our growing number of visitors. Ed can often be found on site busying himself with the daily operations of the business, although he takes the time to travel the world with his wife at least once a year. Ed’s wife Taosha Nowek has been instrumental in the adaptation of Planet Bee’s marketing message to cater to our enthusiastic Chinese visitors. In addition, Taosha is a talented artist – look for her beautiful paintings adorning the walls of our retail shop!
General Manager & Mead Maker
Martin, originally from Scotland, joined Planet Bee in 2010 as General Manager and quickly expanded his role to include manager of the shipping department and head mead maker. Martin oversees many of the online orders you have enjoyed receiving on your doorstep, as well as preparing the mead from the fermenting process to the bottling stage for the many delicious varieties of mead we produce at our Honeymoon Meadery. In his spare time, Martin enjoys outdoor adventure sports and spending time with his family.
Planet Bee welcomed James in the summer of 2014 as full time Director of Information Technology. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences from UBC Okanagan, James has streamlined the technology which makes operations at Planet Bee Honey Farm so smooth! He also oversees the Educational Program at Planet Bee and enjoys guiding presentations for visitors. When he isn’t at work, James is out enjoying the beautiful Okanagan camping or Barbequing for friends!
